Dr. Rakesh Singh

Dr Rakesh Singh is a PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University. His areas of Interest in Research are (i) Rural-Urban Transition Linkages to Economic Development, (ii) Governance issues of Urban Development including Urban Finance, and (iii) WaterEconomics and Water Governance Policy (iv) Environmental Governance etc.  His areas of Interest in Teaching includes Statistical Methods & Basic Econometrics, Research Methodology, Urban Economics, Law and Economics, Public Policy, Local Governance.

He has been the part of following Research projects-

  • World Bank-Global Partnership on Output-Based Aid (GPOBA) project Leveraging Performance-Based Financing and Accountability for Local Governments, with Prof. Om Prakash Mathur, Senior Fellow and Head, Centre for Urban Studies, Institute of Social Sciences, New Delhi, May 2017.

He completed his internship during his Masters  Under P. K. Chaubey, Prof. of Economics (Economic Administration), Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), New Delhi, during May-June 2008, on the project entitled – Concurrent Evaluation of Targeted Public Distribution System – a case study of Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Tripura, Orissa and West Bengal.
